Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
- Proverbs 22:6
At CCC we believe parents are the primary nurturers of their children’s faith. Our Family Ministry encompasses the essential role of equipping and discipling parents, while playing a supportive role in children’s faith. We (the church family) are a family of families where every member plays a role in the spiritual nurture of the children and students in the community. All involved parties acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the One who works when and as he chooses in the life of a child or student.
New this year will be the Spiritual Parenting study based on the book and program by Michelle Anthony titled, Spiritual Parenting as one way to support parents in their important role of spiritual nurturer.
Our children’s spiritual formation classes utilize carefully chosen, age-appropriate, faith-based curriculum. We provide a ‘pre-teach’ resource for parents so they can be the first ones to read the upcoming week’s Bible passage to their children and interact with them on it with some basic questions. This is a great way for families to be in God’s Word together.
CCC is happy to provide spiritual formation classes for:
- preschool (ages 3-5)
- elementary (6-12)
- middle schoolers.
*Nursery care is available during the worship service (September through May).
